Electronic charts, supplementary chart information and user objectives

CM—93/3 is a specially compiled database of electronic charts consists of objects and their attributes as defined by the IHO S57 Edition 3.1 standard. CM—93/3 is fully compliant with the s—57/3 data format, and in addition the CM—93/3 distribution conventions allow the mariner to immediately use the required chart coverage, including automatic updating, while at the same time skipping the time consuming conversion of S—57/3 data on board.

The CM—93/3 worldwide database contains over 18000 electronic chart files grouped into the following scale levels:

Ø      Background, small scale

Ø      Background, medium scale

Ø      Overview

Ø      General

Ø      Coastal

Ø      Approach

Ø      Harbour

Ø      Berthing

In addition to charts, the Admiral system is designed to display supplementary information. The standard package also includes a worldwide database of tidal information.

Users can create and edit their own objects such as point marks, line and area objects. Text notes and styles can be applied to the objects and stored in the customer’s database.

The CM—93/3 databases provides seamless cartographic coverage. Users can navigate in the database, setting the necessary scale of the charts and coordinates of the center of screen.
