Gyrocompass Meridian

Gyrocompass Meridian meets practically all customers' requirements. Due to its small dimensions, short settling time and high accuracy it has no limits to the type of vessel.

The system offers the following information:

  • vessel's heading against the geographical meridian at speed up to 90 knots, latitude up to 80 degrees and pitch & roll angles up to 45 degrees;
  • rate of turn;
  • operation mode and failures.

Gyrocompass Meridian complies with the requirements of IMO A.424(XI) and A.821(19), IEC 945-96, ISO 8728-94, EMC Directive, Marine Equipment Directive 96/98/EC, CE marking.

It has DERA and Russian Maritime Register Certificates.

OUTFIT

Gyrocompass has a monoblock design. The compass casing made of foamed polyurethane has the windows for the compass card and the control panel on the top. If necessary, the control panel may be mounted in a remote position from the gyrocompass up to 100 meters.
The heart of the Meridian gyrocompass is a dynamically tuned gyro - high precision sensor that ensures follow-up speed up to 200 degrees per second.
Overall dimensions are
344mm (H) x 267mm (W) x 440mm (D).
Weight is 15.5 kg.
