AMI is the first time to participate the show in the region, and we believe it's a good start for AMI, her name is more familiar to the market specially to the client.

The Ships Movement Information Display System (SMIDS) is a cost effective docking system currently installed on a number of vessels, which require highly accurate docking, speed and transit information at all times. It can be used as a direct replacement for a conventional "Doppler Docking System".

Using satellite signals precision docking manoeuvres can be displayed with accuracies better than standard Doppler systems: 0.02 knots

Mr. Ben of AMI Corea, also came to visit teh show.

He supplied to date over 10 SMIDS to Korea shipyards, including Hyundai, Daewoo, and Samsung yards.

Now Shell, Vela, etc asked shipyards to put SMIDS in the building Specifications already in these yards.

With adding on an EM log, SMIDS can fully replace Dopplor Docking Log and conforming to the IMO regulation.

See you in APM 2008!
